Paul Goodgame has been promoted to Managing Director of The Chesterford Group from the 1st April 2020 with James Lipscombe moving to CEO.
James Lipscombe current Managing Director of the 40 strong chain said “I am delighted to announce that Paul Goodgame our current Operations Director, is being promoted to Managing Director from the 1st April 2020. I am incredibly proud of Paul’s achievements and it proves that if you have the talent, passion, ambition, work ethic and entrepreneurial ability, anything is possible within our business. To be able to promote somebody that started as a team member into the MD position is something we are all very proud of and once again proves how passionate we are about developing the people within our business.
Paul Goodgame said ‘Having worked for the company for 26 years I could not be more proud of becoming Managing Director. When I first started my career with TCG this is something that I could have only dreamed of and to be given the opportunity by James and the board to continue to develop our fantastic business is something that I relish. I have worked incredibly hard and loved every minute! I am truly excited to be entrusted with the future development of the business as we enter our next phase of growth.’
After holding the reins as MD for eight years now and seeing our like for like sales growing at 9% year on year with a string of new openings coming in the next 12 months, Paul is taking over at an exciting time for our business and I am certain that the business will go from strength to strength under his safe stewardship. I will be moving to CEO where I will be focussing on new business, sales & marketing and building my personal brand to create more opportunities for our business. I could not be more proud of Paul and more excited for the journey that lies ahead.
