We are proud to support Middleton Foods again as it launches The Peter Hill Award 2025 by providing two places at our KFE School of Frying Excellence for the winner.

This is the third year Middletons has run the award, launched in memory of its late CEO, Peter Hill, to support and nurture industry newcomers. 

The winning shop not only earns the title but also receives a spectacular £10,000 prize package designed to support and grow their business. This includes two places at our KFE School of Frying Excellence (with accommodation), £1,000 worth of Middleton Foods stock, the creation of their own bespoke ‘own label’ batter mix, tickets to The National Fish & Chip Awards, and much more. Four runners-up will each receive £300 of Middleton Foods stock and one place at our School of Frying Excellence (with accommodation).

Previous winners include Oliver’s Chippy in Warton, Lancashire (2023), and SALT Fish & Chips in Cumbria (2024).

The award reflects Peter’s passion for his beloved fish and chip industry, as Ryan Baker, Sales Manager at Middleton Foods, explains: “We all miss Peter tremendously. The fish and chip industry stole his heart, and with The Peter Hill Award we’ve created a true legacy to Peter. It’s a fantastic way to keep our great friend’s memory alive, and something all the Middleton’s family are extremely proud of.
