Nikki Williams

We are pleased to announce that Nikki Williams, KFE Field Sales Manager, has become an ambassador for The Burnt Chef Project

The role will see Nikki support the not-for-profit organisation in its quest to tackle mental health stigma and ensure the hospitality and leisure industry is healthier and more sustainable by focusing on employee wellbeing.

Nikki joins a team of over 170 worldwide ambassadors from across the hospitality industry who offer peer support, weekly group chats, personal check-ins and regular events to those who need it.

Nikki, who joined the business in 2014, is the son of Paul Williams, founder and managing director of KFE. His decision to put himself forward as an ambassador for The Burnt Chef Project comes after watching his parents juggle numerous family businesses with bringing up two young children.

“Growing up above my parents’ fish and chip shop, I saw first-hand the strains that come with working long and unsociable hours and the stress that put not only on them but me and my sister too,” explains Nikki.

“Fast-forward 30 years and I’m now helping the same community develop and improve their businesses and yet can see the lack of support still exists. Too many times I hear “it’s always been this waw, “who am I supposed to speak to?”

“This is why I am so proud to be an ambassador for The Burnt Chef Project because together we can start conversations that can end the stigma around mental health and make hospitality a better place to work.”

Nikki has already signed up to take part in The Burnt Chef’s Sea to Summit Challenge in September which will see a team from the hospitality industry embark on a 19-mile trek to climb Yr Wyddfa in Snowdonia.
