We are pleased to announce KFE is a finalist in the Supplier of the Year Award at this year’s National Fish & Chip Awards – the only range supplier to be shortlisted.

The National Fish & Chip Awards celebrate fish and chip takeaways, restaurants and suppliers throughout the UK and are dedicated to raising standards across the industry.

During the judging process we were asked to demonstrate how our business minimises its impact on the environment, how we excel in customer service and what we do to engage with and support the wider fish and chip industry.

We were not short of evidence, for example:

– We sell the most efficient/lowest CO2 emission frying pans in the world, helping to reduce our customers’ carbon emissions and their gas bills.

– We have established our company’s carbon footprint and through carbon reduction initiatives and carbon offset projects, we expect to be carbon neutral this year.

– We organise industry events throughout the year including the KFE Annual Ball, Open Days, race days and golf trips. We have supported Young Friers with days at KFE and paid for trips to the QBTEC factory, we have raised over £50,000 for The Fishermen’s Mission through our KFE on a Mission initiative, and who can forget our Facebook Live quizzes that united the industry during Covid?

We are one of five suppliers in the final and are up against Dennis Crooks Fish Merchant, Isle of Ely Produce, Ceres and Henry Colbeck.

The winner will be announced at The National Fish & Chip Awards, hosted by The National Federation of Fish Friers (NFFF), on 28th of February 2023 at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel in London.
