Marketing your business is more important than ever. Rising costs are putting a strain on margins, and customers are already beginning to cut back. It’s at a time like this that you need to push your marketing to the max, to be heard above all the noise and negativity, and to be in people’s minds when they are thinking about where to treat the family on a Friday night.

To help you with this, we’ve launched the KFE marketing helpline. It’s a free service whereby our customers can e-mail us at marketinghelp@kfeltd.co.uk with any query they have regarding marketing. Perhaps you want advice on whether a leaflet drop is better than running a newspaper advert, inspiration to boost your social media presence or to ask about launching a loyalty scheme.

Our team will answer your queries or direct you to one of our trainers or award-winning shops that we feel can best assist you. We are here to bounce ideas off of and to help you communicate with your customers so you stay in their heads and bellies!

Throughout the year, we will also be offering social media graphics, promotional ideas and competitions that you can utilise for free.

Free Halloween colouring template

We’re kicking off the launch of our new e-mail service with a free Halloween colouring template that you can print off and share with customers or download and share on your social media pages and website. You can offer it to customers as a free activity for kids to do at home, or supply a few packs of crayons to keep the little ones occupied while the adults wait for their orders.

We all know customers love to win something so why not run a Halloween colouring competition with a free family meal as the prize?

Don’t forget to add your shop logo to the template to help increase brand awareness.

More spooktacular Halloween ideas

– Encourage children to come in and tell you a scary joke and if they can make you laugh, they win a prize – glow sticks are relatively cheap and make great Halloween gifts.

– Have a bowl of sweets for children to help themselves to.

– Put together a Halloween family fright night feast meal consisting of two portions of fish and chips, two kids meals, some sides and a drink for a set price. You could even offer a discount for customers eating earlier in the evening to help space out orders.

– Run a competition asking customers to share photos of their spooky family meals on social media and offer prizes for the best ones.

– To bring in the families, why not offer a kids eat free promotion when accompanied by a paying adult for any children coming in in fancy dress?

– Team up with other local businesses to all carve a pumpkin each and create a pumpkin trail for children to look out for and follow.
