KFE customer wins at the Nottingham Food and Drink Awards

This week over 300 guest attended the Nottingham Food and Drink Awards at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel, hosted by comedian and presenter Matt Forde.

Along with awards for ‘Best venue’ and ‘Best dining experience’ was an an award for ‘Outstanding achievement and dedication to the industry’ and this was awarded to John Molnar.

John is know within the fish and chip industry for the hugely successful The Cod’s Scallop fish and chip shops located in the Nottingham area, with one opening earlier this year in Market Harborough. They were also announced as finalists in the National Fish and Chip shop of the Year award 2020 making the Top 10 last month.

Along with this brand John also is partner in the Moleface chain of gastro pubs and recently opened the Top Floor Development. The first of its kind in Nottingham, Top Floor Development which offers a unique dining experience, where your meal is cooked and plated before your eyes as you dine on the perimeter of a professional kitchen.

Two Michelin-starred chef Sat Bains, who opts out of the competition to create a more level playing field, said to the Nottingham Post on John “His commitment to driving his businesses forward are an inspiration,”
