Island Ranges
The island range has become extremely popular over the last few years, especially since the arrival of big fast food brands such as McDonalds and K.F.C. The island range is a commercial oven offering a combination of kitchen fryer, frying range, and chips fryer and is particularly effective for a very busy shop.
With the island range the server operates at the front of the range with the frier behind the range as normal. The chip box is all the way through the range and the hot boxes have sliding doors on both sides allowing the frier to load the product in from his side and the server to take the product out from the other side.
A major benefit of the island range is that the servers are totally separate to the frier and therefore have more room to operate and more space to wrap and serve on to the customer.
It is also possible to extend the front lip of the range to include bain maries, or you can have them built into the counter itself. |
