The competition to find the Young Fish Frier of the Year offers young fish friers the chance to showcase their skills and background knowledge in all aspects of fish frying, plus their ability to run a successful business. The record for the world’s largest portion of chips has been broken at Adventure Island in Southend.

Southend's Adventure Island broke their 3rd World Record on Thursday 30th June at the theme park's Traditional Fish and Chip Shop on their Kiremko frying range. The Guiness World Record was previously set in Hereford back in 2004 of 79kg.
