All fish and chip shops have received an in-depth judging visit from an industry expert. Representatives from all shops then visit Norway for a study trip organised by Seafish in conjunction with the Norwegian Seafood Export Council before the grand final which took place in London on Thursday 20th January 2011 at The Park Plaze Riverside Hotel.

Andy Gray, Customer Development Manager for Seafish commented 'It's no secret that we Brits still take out fish and chips seriously after 150 years. The shortlisted shops have displayed quality product, a sustainable approach to sourcing supplies, wide-ranging knowledge and innovative culture - all the makings of a great modern chippy.”
